From Augustine Agwulonu, Owerri

The former ALGON Chairman and present Special Adviser to the State governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Mrs. Rubby Emele, has expressed her desire to add some values to the present Senator Hope Uzodinma led government in Imo State.
She disclosed this to some newsmen in her office, recently, while chatting with them on a number of issues. She stated her commitment towards the strengthening of the Local Government administration in the 27 LGAs of the state through introduction of positive developmental ideas.
Hon. Rubby equally used the interaction to reiterate that ALGON which she was piloting at the state level has not pulled out of her case against the government of the then governor Rochas Okorocha for an illegal sacking of her members as chairmen in the various LGAs of the State.

She affirmed that Imo State chapter of ALGON under her leadership had pursued their case of unjust removal from office in conjunction with the councilors since 2011 in various stages of the court of the Federation with optimism that their mandate democratically given to them by the people would be legally restored.
The Isiala Mbano born politician pointed out that the withdrawal of few councilors from their pursued cause owing to the long delay of the matter would not stop them from reaching the last point of it.
She emphasized her commitment to the administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma and his belief in the promotion of rule of law, advising all Imolites to give him their maximum support in his drive to move the state to the next level.
Emele assured Imolites of the governor’s determination to support private-driven economy that would truly enhance prosperity-shared development in the state within the period of his administration.
