WE ARE DOING A LOT TO TRANSFORM THE COMMUNITIES – ISOPADEC MD
The Managing Director of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Engr. Anthony Okwuosha, has assured that the Commission is leaving no stone unturned in addressing the challenges the new management and board inherited in the oil producing communities upon assumption of office. The challenges. According to him include: environmental degradation, insecurity and youths restiveness, unemployment, poverty and lack of social amenities.
Engr. Okwuosha gave the assurance recently, while addressing journalists in Oguta after the 2019 Women August Meeting held in the area by the wife of the Governor and First Lady, Her Excellency Lady
He commended the First Lady for the successful 2019 Women August Meeting and for charting a new course for the women, saying that it was a memorable experience. He also commended the wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Ogbuefi Vivian Irona, for hosting the First Lady and organising Oguta women so well for, adding that the event was an exciting one for the women and others who witnessed it.
The Managing Director noted that despite initial challenges following the rot the government met upon assumption of office, the Commission is doing a lot in the communities in line with its mandate and in
keeping with the Rebuild Imo Agenda.
